Trib 8th ID
Figured I would ask you nerds what's the best first person shooter monitor you guys recommend? My monitor keeps failing, and needs to be power cycled often. I like to buy good stuff and have it for a while. I generally go with 27 inch 1440p I found this guy what you think? https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Strix-Gaming-Monitor-XG27AQM/dp/B0966ZJBQY/ref=sr_1_2?crid=V14QDA5VUYK3&keywords=XG27AQM&qid=1650391020&sprefix=xg27aqm%2Caps%2C253&sr=8-2 “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. Burke 8th ID
Todays technology is good all around. Just have to look at those couple specific areas of specifications. I personally really like ASUS and ACER. If it's the size you like, and has the the ports you need, plus it is running Full HD @ 120hz when in 1920 x 1080 and you like it, get it! xD

Trib 8th ID
If I went with a 4k monitor would it make players in the game look smaller? I know 4k isnt recommended for first person shooters because of fps but curious if it effects the game in a different way? “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. Trib 8th ID
I purchased the monitor in link. It's nice but colors are off, it looks like digital vibrance is on high, green looks like lime green. I spent an hour trying all the different presets, and changing all the settings and still super bright colors. Makes it easy to see in Dods, and the 244hz makes it smooth. Prob need to calibrate it for it to be right. “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. Trib 8th ID
aye prob best idea. I'll hang tight on the gpu. Funny thing about GPU is the company I work for is a Sony dealer. Sony shipped me a desktop, but it was suppose to go to their headquarters for a corporate computer. I held onto the computer sealed for two months never heard anything, stripped it sold it for parts then kept the 2060, so got it for free and made $600 bucks. “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. McDowell
Was thinking of getting one of those 240 something hz monitors, I doubt that it would help me actually land a decent shot, but I can hope!
