  1. I'm a barista. I really enjoy anime, but I also like non-anime stuff like Lord of the Rings (my favorite movies of all time). I dabble in making videos. I've made let's plays, sniper montages, AMVs, and some other stuff. I'd like to get a new computer so I can do more. I read a fair bit. I just finished "The Righteous Mind" by Jonathan Haidt, and have started "Signature Classics" by C.S. Lewis. I sometimes listen to audiobooks. I played travel soccer, and I now casually enjoy sports, although shit gets real once my competitive side comes out lol. I'm also a university student; English Secondary Education major, English as a Second Language minor. This summer I'm going to start going to the gym three days a week. I don't play as many video games anymore, although I do still spend a great deal of time on DoD:S, Rocket League, and RuneScape.
  2. "I don't do beef, I'm a side step 'em" sheeeeeesh
  3. Nice! His non-fiction is very good. As one might expect if they're remotely familiar with Lewis, much of his non-fiction is religious, but there's lots of good stuff in there and he doesn't beat you over the head with it and strangle you.
  4. "Even after the worst of it I'm still happier than I thought" ❤️ Can't believe this dude is my age! I would give him the biggest hug ever for helping me through so much.
  5. This man and Tolkien are two of my all-time faves. I'm still yet to read the Narnia books though.
  6. When @AzNDaWg casually strolls in and drops 14-0
  7. Michigan has its perks. Lots of country dirt roads look like this. Such a beautiful state. ^_^ Just not a fan of the winters... -_- (picture taken from Google, but I've been down that road a few times over the years)
  8. Hai! Sou desu. ^_^ ❤️ In other news, until I can get me a Monogatari themed GT86, I'll slap this on my rear window:
  9. Something unusually positive to share, from my weebmo self. First: you know *that* Japanese instrument. Second: from the anime film Weathering With You
  10. Be a good Canadian and just put Michigan down for me, would ya'? 🙂 EDIT: THE NEW EMOJIS ARE SO AWESOME 🦊
  11. This guy has big balls. Mine wouldn't be nearly so lewd. What an absolute G . I would LOVE to do a full-wrap like that though with Monogatari characters. But I've done my research and the Real Ones all say "vehicle before wrap". I first got interested in it when a guy at a local sub and pizzeria had a Japanese flag sticker on his car's fuel cover. It fit really well; he had some sort of white, early 2000s car; I don't know what make or model unfortunately but it looked like a traditional Tokyo drift mobile, spoiler and everything. I kind of want to get a couple small stickers on my current car but my dad would call me an idiot. Maybe if I got window stickers he wouldn't care. He'd be more concerned about the paint and what I'd do when it's time to sell my car, than any first or second-hand embarassment.
  12. It's time to start saving $$$. I just gotta' figure out what car I want to itasha-wrap... And find a top tier shop to design and apply it. ❤️
  13. Ooo... Silverstein. Brand New. Moose Blood. Some names I recognize! ;)
  14. I actually really enjoyed this movie. I've been meaning to give it another watch but never have gotten around to it. :)
  15. Darling in the Franxxx was my first mecha anime! (unless you wanna' count bits of Gundam that I used to see on Toonami when I was a little kid) It was a very fun watch. Monogatari and the Fate series are in my top favorites for sure. I've seen all of Monogatari, but I've only seen Fate Zero and Fate: Stay Night - Unlimited Bladeworks. Judging from your favorites it sounds like you might like both shows. Monogatari is suuuper dialogue heavy and honestly so eccentric that it's a "love it or hate it" kinda' deal, but a very rewarding and entertaining show imo. Fate is more balanced with quite a lot more action, especially as you get later into each season it really ramps up. The watch-orders for Fate / Monogatari are kind of complicated. I'd Google one for the Fate series, but I can tell you how to watch Monogatari. The issue with Monogatari is unless you sail the high seas or something, I dunno' how you'll find everything. Crunchyroll only has Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari iirc... I had to buy the Kizumonogatari 3-part movie on blu-ray through rightstuf anime, and that's literally the second thing you're supposed to watch. Fate is a bit more accessible in this regard, but you might uhh know the right places to look and might not have this problem with Monogatari. I personally loved Bakemonogatari so much that I just bought the entire show on blu-ray which cost, like, a lot. Was worth it though; I love that show. I've got a nice little collection going.
  16. WELCOME, WEEBY ONE. THE FACT THAT THIS IS YOUR FIRST POST ON OUR FORUMS MEANS SO MUCH TO ME, FELLOW WEEB. IT IS AN OFFERING OF SUCH MAGNITUDE THAT FEW SHALL MATCH. MAY OUR PEOPLE RISE PROUDLY FROM THESE SECRET SHELTERS, HIDDEN HAVENS, SACRED SANCTUMS, AND GO FORTH AND PROSPER. Hibike! Euphonium, really do be a good, wholesome anime though! :D
